في بيان لمنظمة الطاقة الذرية الإيرانية . تعرضت المنطقة المحيطة بمحطة بوشهر للطاقة النووية لهجوم اليوم وذلك للمرة الرابعة خلال الحرب الحالية.
كما أفادت المنظمة الإيرانية بمقتل أحد عناصر الحماية في المحطة جراء الهجوم، متهمة الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل بالوقوف خلفه.
وفي المقابل، لم تؤكد الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل وقوع الهجوم.
وذكر البيان للمنظمة أن تحقيقات أولية أشارت إلى أن الحادث. ”لم يُلحق أضراراً” في الأجزاء الرئيسية من المحطة، وأن تشغيلها ”لم يتأثر”.
ومع ذلك، حذر البيان من أنه وبسبب وجود ”كميات كبيرة من المواد المشعة” فقد يؤدي أي ضرر جسيم إلى ”حادث نووي كبير”.

وتُعد بوشهر المحطة النووية الوحيدة العاملة في إيران، وقد تم إنجازها بمساعدة روسية.
وأجلت موسكو العديد من موظفيها من المحطة. وقال رئيس مؤسسة روساتوم النووية الحكومية الروسية، أليكسي ليخاتشوف، قبل يومين، إنّ ”دفعة إجلاء أخيرة” تضم قرابة 200 شخص من المقرر مبدئياً أن تتم الأسبوع المقبل
